    AbstractAirway management is vital during anesthetic care and during resuscitative efforts in the PICU, the emergency department, and the delivery room. Given specific anatomic and physiologic differences, neonates and infants may be more prone to complications during airway management. Videolaryngoscopy may offer an alternative to or advantages over direct laryngoscopy in specific clinical scenarios. The following article reviews some of the basic types of videolaryngoscopy and discusses their potential applications in the pediatric population.
