    AbstractMINI: Mounting evidence demonstrates that gender inequity is perpetuated by language. As such, understanding the ways in which linguistic bias reinforces gender and other stereotypes is paramount to creating a culture of inclusivity. This perspective reviews the science detailing the ways language reinforces gender inequality and offers strategies to reduce linguistic bias.
