AbstractThe amounts of calcium present in the skeleton were accurately measured and monitored in 1280 women and 418 men, using Cameron's photon absorption method of bone mineral content measurement. Used as a screening test on the first visit, this method becomes an excellent means of longitudinal surveillance after assessment of the calcium/phosphorus balance.
