    AbstractDr. Barry Collin represents the best in academic optometry. An educator, scientist, and visionary, he has throughout his long and distinguished career made important contributions to our understanding of ophthalmic pathology. He has also had an enormous impact on raising the level of optometric education and expanding the scope of optometric practice. This profile covers much of Dr. Collin's professional career, offering insights into what has made him one of the key leaders in Australian and international optometry.
