AbstractWe describe a young patient with acute myeloid leukemia who, having been treated with allogenic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation, presented with acute graft-versus-host disease. One year later, leukemia relapse was treated with donor lymphocyte infusion and was followed by a new episode of acute graft-versus-host disease. The patient died 18 months after the transplantation, with evidence of chronic graft-versus-host disease in multiple organs.
