BackgroundVenous stenting has become a promising treatment for venous sinus stenosis. However, it is not without its own set of risks.Case DescriptionWe reported de novo formation of dural arteriovenous fistula poststenting for venous sinus stenosis in a patient with pseudotumor cerebri. Multiple factors, including subclinical thrombus formation, sinus wall injury by stent placement, and up-regulated inflammatory factors, may contribute to its pathogenesis.ConclusionsThis case indicates that physicians may need to be aware of this rare complication, which can be managed without resumption of pseudotumor cerebri symptoms.Copyright © 2018 Elsevier Inc.
