    AbstractThis article reviews the history, classification, and pathoanatomy of lumbar spinal stenosis. An understanding of the pathoanatomy of lumbar spinal stenosis is essential for the clinician to treat the patient with clinically symptomatic lumbar spinal stenosis more effectively.
