AbstractTinea pedis is uncommon in prepubescent children and therefore the diagnosis may be difficult to make. We report tinea pedis in five children presenting as unilateral inflammatory lesions of the sole which was not readily diagnosed. The pathogen in all of our cases was Trichophyton rubrum.
