AbstractThe importance of fibrinogen replacement therapy in obstetric disseminated intravascular coagulation is well recognized. However, fibrinogen measurement in conventional laboratories has been a time-consuming task. Recently, a Japanese manufacturer developed a portable device that enables immediate fibrinogen measurement at the point of care. This report describes a case in which this device was used for the successful management of obstetric disseminated intravascular coagulation.© 2018 Japan Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
