AbstractNaloxegol is a peripherally acting mu-opioid receptor antagonist for opioid-induced constipation in adults with chronic noncancer pain. This drug's once-daily oral formulation can be used as monotherapy and helps to decrease the constipating effects of opioid therapy; however, it has been associated with abdominal pain.
