AbstractProgressive bilateral sensorineural hearing loss (BSNHL) was the first manifestation of type II neurofibromatosis in a young patient with no family or personal history of neurofibromatosis. The differential diagnosis of BSNHL is described and a diagnostic protocol is proposed.
