AbstractAn adult East Asian woman presented with sudden onset of hyperpigmented macules on her oral mucosal surfaces, palms and soles, in association with hypoguesia and loss of weight. This was found to be associated with underlying severe vitamin B12 deficiency secondary to pernicious anaemia. © 2015 British Association of Dermatologists.
