AbstractPatients with severe spasticity are frequently encountered in the pediatric emergency department. Intrathecal baclofen therapy is being used increasingly to treat these patients. The purpose of this case series is to illustrate the importance of early recognition and treatment of intrathecal baclofen withdrawal, a potentially life-threatening complication of intrathecal baclofen therapy. Four cases of intrathecal baclofen withdrawal are presented.
