    AbstractA case of irreducible palmar epiphyseal fracture-dislocation of the distal interphalangeal joint is reported. The intact collateral ligaments and flexor digitorum profundus tendon did not permit adequate distraction of the joint, thereby preventing reduction of a displaced epiphyseal fracture.
