    AbstractThrombolytic therapy has been studied in acute ischemic stroke, intracranial hemorrhage, intraventricular hemorrhage, subarachnoid hemorrhage, and sagittal sinus thrombosis. This form of therapy has an evolving role in contemporary neurologic practice, and increased investigational fervor will ensure more exacting therapeutic alternatives for stroke victims in the future.
