UnlabelledThe choice between the limited pulmonary resection and the standard anatomical resection depends on many factors. The most important are the tumor size, age and general condition of the patient.Material And MethodsWe present 12 patients with non-small cell lung cancer-IA stage, who underwent limited resection.ResultsThe 5-year survival rate is 50% (6 patients), the 3-year survival rate is 75% (9 patients), and the 1-year survival rate is 91,6% (11 patients).ConclusionsWe conclude that the limited resection for patients with non-small cell lung cancer-IA stage is associated with a lower 5-year survival, but less complications, which makes it suitable for elderly and compromised patients.
