AbstractThis paper presents the progress made in the development of a localized virtual patient model for regional anesthesia simulation training system by Energid Technologies. In our on-going project, a feasible engineering virtual patient model has been designed to capture the reflexive responses during nerve block stimulation. Our model combines advanced technologies in tissue deformation, motor nerve stimulation model, and haptic feedback rendering.
