BackgroundMedulloblastoma (MB) with myogenic differentiation is a rare histologic variant.Case DescriptionWe report a case of a 7-year-old female child who presented with a left cerebellar mass. Histopathologic examination showed a cellular neoplasm comprising undifferentiated cells along with foci of bizarre giant cells. Immunohistochemistry revealed that the tumor corresponded to the MB, sonic hedgehog-activated subgroup.ConclusionsThe case is being reported to document this rare variant of MB that had myogenic differentiation. Molecular characterization of this variant has been analyzed in few cases so far.Copyright © 2019 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved.
