AbstractThe aim of this Letter to the Editor was to report some methodological shortcomings in the recently published article "Application of red light phototherapy in the treatment of radioactive dermatitis in patients with head and neck cancer" by Zhang et al. There are some issues regarding the incomplete photobiomodulation (PBM) parameters, the chosen outcome measures, and some missing reference articles. In conclusion, the results of this study should be interpreted with caution and further research is necessary.
