Development of an Innovative 3D Printed Rigid Bronchoscopy Training Model.
The objective of this study was to create a 3D printed airway model simulating the size and mechanical properties of various age groups for foreign body removal training. ⋯ The 3D printed airway model is able to be accurately scaled to various sizes and simulate the mechanical properties of the desired age group. The 3D printed model provides an excellent alternative to animal models in terms of practicality, logistics of use, and anatomical accuracy.

Comparative StudyAntibiotic Prescribing by Physicians Versus Nurse Practitioners for Pediatric Upper Respiratory Infections.
This study investigates differences in antibiotic prescribing rates for pediatric upper respiratory infections (URIs) between physicians and nurse practitioners (NPs). ⋯ Nurse practitioners have higher rates of antibiotic prescribing compared to physicians for pediatric patients with URIs; however, this difference is less after adjusting for specialty. Examining comparative antibiotic prescribing is important to promote evidence-based practice and adoption of clinical guidelines.

Soccer participation continues to increase among all ages in the US. Our objective was to analyze trends in soccer-related facial injury epidemiology, demographics, and mechanisms of injury. ⋯ The incidence of soccer-related facial trauma has remained stable, but the severity of such injuries remain a danger. Facial protection in soccer is virtually absent, and our findings reinforce the need to educate athletes, families, and physicians on injury awareness and prevention.
