[The characteristics of arterial hypertension in postmenopausal women in the area of Blida (Algeria)].
Assess the prevalence, the degree of control, and the comorbidities of hypertension in postmenopausal women. ⋯ The systolic blood pressure is more important than the diastolic blood pressure in postmenopausal women. The cerebral vascular accident remains the most feared complication. The control of hypertension remains not enough and the balance of arterial pressure figures is highly recommended to avoid morbidity and fatal complications.

Comparative Study[Validation during exercise of a new device for cardiac output measurement using pulse wave transit time (comparison EsCCO(®) vs. Physioflow(®))].
EsCCO is a novel non-invasive continuous cardiac output monitoring system based on pulse wave transit time already validated at rest. The aim of our study was to compare cardiac output measurements obtained simultaneously by EsCCO(®) (Q˙cOP) and impedance cardiography (Physioflow(®) ; Q˙cIMP), in healthy subjects. ⋯ EsCCO(®) measurements are accurate, reliable and allow a good estimation of cardiac output on healthy subjects. The signal lost observed for high cardiac output levels (>15L/min) can limit its utilization during very high intensity exercise.

Case Reports[Acute coronary syndrome with impaired left ventricular function in a carbon monoxide poisoning].
Carbon monoxide poisoning is the leading cause of death by poisoning in France. Neuropsychological symptoms are most common. ⋯ Coronary angiography shows no significant lesion leading to myocardial stunning diagnose. Patients exposed to carbon monoxide must have systematic cardiac evaluation with electrocardiogram and dosage of biomarkers.

Ultrasound has revolutionized the practice of emergency medicine, particularly in prehospital setting. About a patient with dyspnea, we present the role of ultrasound in the diagnosis and emergency treatment. Echocardiography, but also hemodynamic ultrasound (vena cava) and lung exam are valuable tools. Achieving lung ultrasound and diagnostic value of B lines B are detailed.

Case Reports[Free floating thrombus in right cardiac chambers and thrombolysis].
Free-floating thrombi in the right heart chambers is a rare phenomenon. Nearly 99% of detected cases are associated with the presence of proven pulmonary embolism. Its presence is associated with a poor outcome with a mortality between 27 to 44% according to studies. ⋯ After persistence of the thrombus and seven days of heparinotherapy, thrombolysis therapy was initiated. The thrombus disappeared 24h after thrombolysis. Without contra-indication, thrombolysis is a faster, readily available treatment for the management of floating thrombus in the right heart chambers associated with pulmonary embolism.
