A study on visual, audio and tactile reaction time among medical students at Kampala International University in Uganda.
Reaction time (RT) is an indicator of neural activity, however, its variation due to visual (VRT), audio (ART) and tactile (TRT) in African medical students has not been investigated. The aim of the study was to determine relationships between VRT, ART and TRT amongst medical students in Uganda. ⋯ The low VRT and ART in Ugandan medical students is indicative of a healthy somatosensory connectivity, thus of academic importance.

Effects of abdominal and vaginal hysterectomy on anorectal functions along with quality of life of the patient.
Hysterectomy is the most commonly performed major gynecological operation for both benign and malign gynecologic conditions. After hysterectomy, although some investigators have declared an increased incidence of urinary and anorectal dysfunction, some others could not show any connection. ⋯ If the type of operation (vaginal or abdominal) is performed due to benign causes, it does not affect the urinary and anorectal functions of the patients. Depending on the decrease of complaints of the patients, it has a positive effect on the quality of life.
