Labor analgesia and its impact on the maternal and perinatal outcomes.
This study aimed to assess adverse maternal and perinatal outcomes in parturients undergoing labor analgesia. ⋯ Performing labor analgesia in parturients with cervical dilatation ≤4.0 or ≥9.0 cm was associated with a higher prevalence of adverse maternal and perinatal outcomes.

Evaluation of the combination treatments with intravenous fosfomycin for carbapenem-resistant Klebsiella pneumoniae.
The aim of this study was to evaluate the combination treatments with intravenous fosfomycin for carbapenem-resistant Klebsiella pneumoniae infections in a tertiary-care center. ⋯ In our study, high mortality rates were found in patients with bloodstream infection or ventilator-associated pneumonia due to carbapenem-resistant Klebsiella pneumoniae, and no significant difference was recorded in 14- and 30-day mortality among different types of combination regimens such as fosfomycin plus one or two antibiotic combinations.

National Institute of Health Stroke Scale was associated with the immediate and long-term prognosis of patients with acute ischemic stroke treated with intravenous thrombolysis.
The objective of this study was to examine whether the National Institute of Health Stroke Scale was associated with the short- and long-term prognosis of patients with acute ischemic stroke treated with intravenous thrombolysis. ⋯ The National Institute of Health Stroke Scale could be a promising indicator for the prognosis, and active intervention is needed to improve the quality of life in patients with acute ischemic stroke.

Factors associated with complications after percutaneous nephrolithotomy: an analysis of 1,066 cases.
The aim of this study was to identify predictive factors for complications after percutaneous nephrolithotomy. ⋯ Performing percutaneous nephrolithotomy in the supine position, in under 90 min, and avoiding upper pole punctures may reduce complications during the treatment of large kidney stones.

Association between hyperuricemia and hypertension and the mediatory role of obesity: a large cohort study in China.
This study aimed to investigate the sex-specific association between hyperuricemia and the risk of hypertension and whether obesity mediates this association. ⋯ Hyperuricemia is associated with a risk of hypertension in both sexes, and BMI partially mediates hyperuricemia-related incident hypertension.
