Continuous pericapsular nerve group block for postoperative pain management in total hip arthroplasty: report of two cases.
Total hip arthroplasty (THA) is one of the surgical procedures associated with severe postoperative pain. Appropriate postoperative pain management is effective for promoting early ambulation and reducing the length of hospital stay. Effects of conventional pain management strategies, such as femoral nerve block and fascia iliaca block, are inadequate in some cases. ⋯ Continuous PENG block and LFCN block were effective for postoperative pain management in patients who underwent THA. PENG block did not cause postoperative motor blockade.

Remimazolam anesthesia for cardiac surgery with cardiopulmonary bypass: a case report.
Remimazolam has less cardiovascular depressant effects than propofol in non-cardiac surgical patients. However, the efficacy and safety of remimazolam in cardiac surgery with cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB) have not been reported. We present a case of successful anesthetic management using remimazolam in cardiac surgery with CPB. ⋯ Remimazolam can be used the same as other existing anesthetics in cardiac surgery with CPB.

Anesthetic considerations for cesarean delivery in a parturient with hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia: a case report.
Hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia (HHT), also known as Rendu-Osler-Weber syndrome, is a rare autosomal dominant disorder characterized by mucocutaneous telangiectasia and arteriovenous malformations (AVMs). There are some anesthetic considerations for cesarean delivery in a parturient with HHT. ⋯ HHT should be considered as a differential diagnosis when parturients develop pulmonary hemorrhage. In a cesarean delivery of parturients with HHT, spinal MRI during pregnancy can help in deciding the anesthetic procedure to be used.

Remimazolam for a patient with myotonic dystrophy type 1 who underwent endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography under general anesthesia: a case report.
Remimazolam is a benzodiazepine receptor agonist with an ultra-short-acting anesthetic effect. We used remimazolam for anesthesia in a patient with myotonic dystrophy type 1 who underwent endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP). ⋯ Remimazolam was safe to use for general anesthesia in a patient with myotonic dystrophy type 1 undergoing ERCP.

Anesthetic management for a patient with myotonic dystrophy with remimazolam.
Patients with myotonic dystrophy may have increased sensitivity to drugs used for anesthesia. We successfully managed general anesthesia in a patient with myotonic dystrophy using a novel intravenous anesthetic, remimazolam. ⋯ In addition to the short-acting anesthetic remimazolam, the presence of the antagonist flumazenil enabled complete recovery from anesthesia, without postoperative complications.
