Chat Generative Pre-trained Transformer (ChatGPT), OpenAI Limited Partnership, San Francisco, CA, USA is an artificial intelligence language model gaining popularity because of its large database and ability to interpret and respond to various queries. Although it has been tested by researchers in different fields, its performance varies depending on the domain. We aimed to further test its ability in the medical field. ⋯ ChatGPT's accuracy rate was not good enough for Taiwan's Family Medicine Board Exam. Possible reasons include the difficulty level of the specialist exam and the relatively weak database of traditional Chinese language resources. However, ChatGPT performed acceptably in negative-phrase questions, mutually exclusive questions, and case scenario questions, and it can be a helpful tool for learning and exam preparation. Future research can explore ways to improve ChatGPT's accuracy rate for specialized exams and other domains.

The immediate effects of lavender-based essential oil inhalation on subsequent polysomnography in people with poor sleep quality.
Although aromatherapy is considered an adjuvant therapy to promote sleep quality, few objective sleep testing instruments can confirm the effects of aromatherapy on sleep physiology. The purpose of this study was to confirm and compare the immediate effects of a single lavender essential oil (SLEO) group to a complex lavender essential oil (CLEO) group by objective polysomnography (PSG) recordings. ⋯ Both SLEO and CLEO extended TST and SPT, with no significant differences between these two groups. These results warrant practical applications and merit future studies (Clinical trial registration: ClinicalTrials.gov : NCT03933553).

We aimed to compare the outcomes of ovarian cystectomy (OC) performed by vaginal natural orifice transluminal endoscopic surgery (vNOTES) vs transumbilical laparoendoscopic single-site surgery (LESS). ⋯ Above all, the advantages of vNOTES include an absence of visible scars, shorter surgical duration, and less blood loss when compared with LESS. Further large-scale prospective trials should confirm the results of our study.

Both inflammation and oxidative stress contribute to the pathogenesis of sepsis and its associated organ damage. Angiotensin-(1-7), acting through the Mas receptor and angiotensin II-type 2 receptors (AT2R), could attenuate organ dysfunction and improve survival in rats with sepsis. However, the role of AT2R in inflammation and oxidative stress in rats with sepsis is unclear. Therefore, this study examined the modulatory effects and molecular mechanism of AT2R stimulation in rats with polymicrobial sepsis. ⋯ The protective effects of CGP42112 may be related to anti-inflammatory responses, suggesting that the stimulation of AT2R is a promising therapeutic candidate for the treatment of sepsis.
