Meta AnalysisReduced macular thickness and vascular density in abnormal glucose metabolism patients: A meta-analysis of optical coherence tomography (OCT) and OCT angiography studies.
Alterations in macular thickness and vascular density before clinically visible diabetic retinopathy (DR) remain inconclusive. This study aimed to determine whether retinal manifestations in abnormal glucose metabolism (AGM) patients differ from those in the healthy individuals. ⋯ PROSPERO; http://www.crd.york.ac.uk/prospero/ ; No. CRD42021269885.

Meta Analysis18F-prostate specific membrane antigen positron emission tomography/computerized tomography for lymph node staging in medium/high risk prostate cancer: A systematic review and meta-analysis.
Lymph node staging of prostate cancer (PCa) is important for planning and monitoring of treatment. 18 F-prostate specific membrane antigen positron emission tomography/computerized tomography ( 18 F-PSMA PET/CT) has several advantages over 68 Ga-PSMA PET/CT, but its diagnostic value requires further investigation. This meta-analysis focused on establishing the diagnostic utility of 18 F-PSMA PET/CT for lymph node staging in medium/high-risk PCa. ⋯ International Prospective Register of Systematic Reviews (PROSPERO), No. CRD42023391101.

Meta AnalysisBidirectional relationship between type 2 diabetes mellitus and coronary artery disease: Prospective cohort study and genetic analyses.
While type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) is considered a putative causal risk factor for coronary artery disease (CAD), the intrinsic link underlying T2DM and CAD is not fully understood. We aimed to highlight the importance of integrated care targeting both diseases by investigating the phenotypic and genetic relationships between T2DM and CAD. ⋯ Our observational and genetic analyses demonstrated an intrinsic bidirectional relationship between T2DM and CAD and clarified the biological mechanisms underlying this relationship.

Review Meta AnalysisPregnancy and the disease recurrence of patients previously treated for differentiated thyroid cancer: A systematic review and meta analysis.
Differentiated thyroid cancer (DTC) is commonly diagnosed in women of child-bearing age, but whether pregnancy influences the prognosis of DTC remains controversial. This study aimed to summarize existing evidence regarding the association of pregnancy with recurrence risk in patients previously treated for DTC. ⋯ PROSPERO, https://www.crd.york.ac.uk/PROSPERO/ ; No. CRD42022367896.
