High-frequency potentials developed in wavelet-transformed electrocardiogram as a novel indicator for detecting Brugada syndrome.
A reliable alternative method for detecting Brugada syndrome is desirable because the diagnosis of Brugada syndrome using 12-lead ECG is not optimal. ⋯ Abnormally high-frequency components recorded from the wavelet-transformed ECG might be a novel factor in detecting Brugada syndrome.

The ability of intermittent or symptom-based monitoring to accurately identify patients with atrial tachycardia/atrial fibrillation (AT/AF) and to quantify AT/AF burden is not well established. ⋯ Intermittent and symptom-based monitoring is highly inaccurate for identifying patients with any or long-duration AT/AF and for assessing AT/AF burden. Further investigation is required to determine if full AT/AF disclosure with implantable devices is effective in reducing stroke risk and facilitating maintenance of sinus rhythm.

At least 50% of LQT2 carriers have borderline QTc (0.42-0.47 s), and they present a diagnostic difficulty to clinicians evaluating patients suspected of having long QT syndrome (LQTS). ⋯ Abnormal T-wave morphology is a phenotypic expression of LQT2, and its quantification could be used to identify patients with suspected LQTS who do not have overt QTc prolongation (QTc >470).
