Case ReportsAplasia cutis congenita. A case of scalp defect repair using two opposing bipedicled local flaps.
Aplasia cutis congenita is a rare congenital condition characterised by the absence of some or all layers of the skin. It may also be associated with absence of underlying muscle and bone. ⋯ We report a case of cutis aplasia successfully closed with opposing bipedicled flaps. To our knowledge this is a novel approach which offers a simple safe technique that can be applied in the neonate.
