There is scarce information about middle-term evolution of hospitalized patients who suffer from pneumonia caused by COVID-19. The objective of this study is to determine the clinical, respiratory, tomographic and functional impact on COVID-19 patients with moderate (MP) to severe (SP) pneumonia after six months of acute infection. ⋯ Follow-up after discharge of COVID-19 patients with SP, DP or fibrotic changes in HCRT is underlined.

As of March 2020, skin lesions associated with COVID-19 have been described. The objectives of the study were to characterize the skin lesions in these patients, analyze their temporal relationship, association with the severity of the disease, extracutaneous symptoms and laboratory parameters. A prospective, observational, analytical and cross-sectional study was conducted in hospitalized patients diagnosed with COVID-19. ⋯ This work shows the skin manifestations in patients hospitalized with COVID-19 in our environment. The most prevalent pattern was the maculopapular rash that was associated with the moderate form of the disease. The appearance of lesions 2 weeks after the onset of COVID-19 symptoms was associated with secondary dermatoses.

[Cohort of pregnant and postpartum women with COVID-19. Comparative analysis between two pandemic waves].
The clinical presentation of pregnant women with COVID-19 varied according to the time of the pandemic. ⋯ These findings support the need for prioritize this group of patients to implement preventive strategies.

During the past two years we have witness a tremendous worldwide health crisis imposed by the coronavirus disease (COVID-19). This situation led to the urgent development and implementation of vaccines in an attempt to decrease not only the SARS-CoV-2 transmissibility but also the severe forms of COVID-19. Although these vaccines were approved based on an adequate benefit-risk ratio, at the moment of their implementation in 2021 we did not have sub-studies in special populations; patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) among them. ⋯ The flare presented with an increased protein/creatinine ratio in urine and positive anti-DNA antibodies without other relevant accompanying findings. After treatment with prednisone (20 y 10 mg/day in case 1 and 2, respectively) and an increased dose of mycophenolate (from 1.5 g/day to 2.0 g/dayand 1.08 to 1.44 g/día of sodic mycophenolate in case 1 y 2, respectively) both patients regained renal remission. These cases are of relevance as they introduce a possible association between the different anti-SARS-CoV-2 vaccine platforms and SLE flares; at the same time to suggest the need for close control in the post vaccination period in this population of patients.

interstitial lung involvement occurs in 80% of chest CT scans of patients with systemic sclerosis (SS) and has a great impact on morbidity and mortality. The aim of the study was to describe factors associated with the development of interstitial lung disease (ILD) in patients diagnosed with SS in our division. ⋯ the analysis of risk factors to determine the development and progression of lung damage is of vital importance for an early implementation of treatment, which would impact the mortality rate of patients with SS.
