Randomized Controlled Trial Comparative StudyMagnetic resonance therapy for knee osteoarthritis: a randomized, double blind placebo controlled trial.
Therapeutic nuclear magnetic resonance therapy (MRT) works based on the electromagnetic fields. ⋯ The present study does not promote use of a 10-day course of MRT in mild to moderate knee OA.

Randomized Controlled Trial Comparative StudyBath thermal waters in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis: a randomized controlled clinical trial.
Osteoarthritis is a degenerative disease associated with pain, reduced range of motion, and impaired function. Balneotherapy or bathing in thermal or mineral waters is used as a non-invasive treatment for various rheumatic diseases. ⋯ Baths in thermal waters, especially those in sulfurous waters, are effective in reducing pain and improving physical function in patients with knee osteoarthritis.

Controlled Clinical TrialEfficacy of a workplace relaxation exercise program on muscle tenderness in a working community with headache and neck pain: a longitudinal, controlled study.
Pericranial muscle tenderness shows a remarkable prevalence not only in tension-type headache, but also in migraine, both episodic and chronic. Neck pain is a common disorder and leads to a high rate of work disability; its prevalence increases for headache. ⋯ This relaxation exercise programme was remarkably cost-effective, yielding a relevant benefit on pericranial/cervical muscle tenderness in a working community, at a relatively low cost.

Randomized Controlled Trial Comparative StudyDo manual therapy techniques have a positive effect on quality of life in people with tension-type headache? A randomized controlled trial.
Controversy exists regarding the effectiveness of manual therapy for the relief of tension-type headache (TTH). However most studies have addressed the impact of therapy on the frequency and intensity of pain. No studies have evaluated the potentially significant effect on the patient's quality of life. ⋯ Manual therapy techniques applied to the suboccipital region, for as little as four weeks, offered a positive improvement in some aspects of quality of life of patient's suffering with TTH.

ReviewTrunk motion analysis: a systematic review from a clinical and methodological perspective.
This systematic literature review aims to check the current state of affairs of non-gait-related optoelectronic trunk movement analysis; results have been analyzed from a clinical and a methodological perspective. ⋯ This study has shown the relative scarcity of current literature focusing on trunk motion analysis. In clinical terms, results were sparse. The only quite well represented group of papers focused on the lumbar spine and pathologies, but the scarcity of individuals evaluated make the results questionable. The use of optoelectronic systems in the evaluation of spine movement is a growing research area. Nevertheless, no standard protocols have been developed so far. Future research is needed to define a precise protocol in terms of number and position of markers along the spine and movements and tasks to be evaluated.
