Comparative Study
Comparison of the Impact of 68Ga-DOTATATE and 18F-FDG PET/CT on Clinical Management in Patients with Neuroendocrine Tumors.
This study aimed to assess the clinical impact of 68Ga-DOTATATE and 18F-FDG with respect to the management plan and to evaluate the prognostic value of both tracers.

Clinical Evaluation of Zero-Echo-Time Attenuation Correction for Brain 18F-FDG PET/MRI: Comparison with Atlas Attenuation Correction.
Accurate attenuation correction (AC) on PET/MR is still challenging. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the clinical feasibility of AC based on fast zero-echo-time (ZTE) MRI by comparing it with the default atlas-based AC on a clinical PET/MR scanner.

Prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA) is a membrane protein highly expressed on prostate cancer cells and a potential imaging target for diagnosis. 18F-DCFPyL has been recently developed as an effective probe with high diagnostic accuracy for prostate cancer imaging. However, its radiochemical yield is low. We developed new PSMA probes using succinimidyl 4-18F-fluorobenzoate (18F-SFB), a rapid and effective 18F-labeling agent, taking advantage of the high radiochemical yield of this compound. We evaluated the probes as PET probes for PSMA imaging.

Early diagnosis of infective endocarditis (IE) is based on the yielding of blood cultures and echocardiographic findings. However, they have limitations and sometimes the diagnosis is inconclusive, particularly in patients with prosthetic valves (PVs) and implantable cardiac electronic devices (ICEDs). The primary aim of this study was to evaluate the diagnostic accuracy of 18F-FDG PET/CT in patients with suspected IE and ICED infection.

Activated macrophages take up 18F-FDG via glucose transporters, so this compound is useful for atherosclerosis imaging by PET. However, 18F-FDG application is limited for imaging of the heart and brain, in which glucose uptake is high, and in patients with aberrant glucose metabolism. The aims of this study were to confirm that mannosylated human serum albumin (MSA) specifically binds to the mannose receptor (MR) on macrophages and to test the feasibility of 68Ga-labeled NOTA-MSA for PET imaging of atherosclerotic plaques.
