Heading toward radioactive seed localization in non-palpable breast cancer surgery? A meta-analysis.
Wire-guided localization is the most commonly used technique for intraoperative localization of non-palpable breast cancer. Radioactive seed localization (RSL) is becoming more popular and seems to be a reliable alternative for intraoperative lesion localization. ⋯ In total 3168 patients were included. The clinical adaptation shows growing confidence in RSL and further growth is expected.
