AR technology, also known as AR or virtual reality, refers to a technology that combines and allows interaction of the virtual world on the display system with the real world through the position and angle of the camera video and image analysis technology. This technology is different from VR technology, and its characteristics can be easily explained as follows: when using AR technology, the user's eyes can see not only the real world but also the virtual world derived from the computer through things in the real world. ⋯ This article proposes the perioperative nursing research method of vascular decompression for the treatment of trigeminal neuralgia under AR medical technology, including an overview of trigeminal neuralgia, perioperative related research, and AR medical technology algorithms, and designs related experiments to study whether AR medical technology can bring good news to nursing. Experimental results show that 96% of patients believe that with the enhancement of realistic medical technology, perioperative vascular decompression care for trigeminal neuralgia can help them recover faster and can be gradually popularized.

In the beginning of 2020, the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic started to spread globally, causing panic to the lives of people around the world; many countries executed lockdown of cities or even total lockdown of the entire countries. The coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is transmitted via air droplets. In medical environments that use traditional hermetic ventilation systems, medical personnel who come in contact with patients are more susceptible to infection compared to regular staff; therefore, the air flow and air quality of hermetic negative pressure isolation wards are highly critical. ⋯ Based on the results from the experiment site, this innovative system was designed and implemented based on the guidelines of hospital facilities and achieved air exchange per hour in excess of 12 times/hour, reaching a maximum of 54.5 times/hour. Indoor CO2 concentration was 576 ppm, negative pressure was -14 Pa, indoor temperature was 23.3°C, indoor humidity was 54.1%, and sensible heat exchange efficiency (ηs) was 105.88% which effectively reduced ventilation load. Therefore, this innovative full-outer-air-intake natural air-conditioning system can provide medical staff and patients with a safe and healthy environment that prevents cross-infection.

We focused on medical informatics journal publications rather than on conference proceedings by comparing and analyzing the data from journals and conferences from a broader perspective. The aim is to summarize the unique contributions of China to medical digitization and foster more multilevel international cooperation. ⋯ This study provides important insights into the development of medical informatics (MI) in China and Western countries showing that the medical informatics journals of China, the United States, and Europe have distinct characteristics. Specifically, first, compared with the Western journals, the number of papers published in the journals of professional associations in the field of MI in China is large and the application value is high, but the academic influence and academic value are relatively low; second, most of the authors of the Chinese papers are from hospitals, and most of the counterparts in the Western countries are from universities. The proportion of master's or doctoral degrees in the former is also lower than that of the latter; furthermore, regarding paper themes, on the one hand, China MI has no theoretical and basic research on medical data statistics and consumer health based on the Internet and telemedicine; on the other hand, after nearly 10 years of hospital digital development, China has fully used the latecomer and application advantages in hospitals and, through extensive international cooperation, has made significant advancements in and contributions to the development of medical information.

COVID-19 has caused a huge mayhem globally. Different economic freedom leads to different performances of a country's reaction to the pandemic. We study 164 countries and apply mathematical and statistical approaches to tackle the problem: whether economic freedom has a significant impact on the death of COVID-19. ⋯ Then, we use the theoretical binary sequences to construct a probability distribution which linearises the strength of relation between economic freedom and death of COVID-19. Then, the actual relation from the data analysis provides an evidence to the hypothetical testing. Our analysis and model show that there is no significant relation between economic freedom and death of COVID-19.

Portable Near-Infrared Technologies and Devices for Noninvasive Assessment of Tissue Hemodynamics.
Tissue hemodynamics, including the blood flow, oxygenation, and oxygen metabolism, are closely associated with many diseases. As one of the portable optical technologies to explore human physiology and assist in healthcare, near-infrared diffuse optical spectroscopy (NIRS) for tissue oxygenation measurement has been developed for four decades. In recent years, a dynamic NIRS technology, namely, diffuse correlation spectroscopy (DCS), has been emerging as a portable tool for tissue blood flow measurement. ⋯ Then, we elaborate on the NIRS instrumentation, either commercially available or custom-made, as well as their applications to physiological studies and clinic. The extension of NIRS/DCS from spectroscopy to imaging was depicted, followed by introductions of advanced algorithms that were recently proposed. The future prospective of the NIRS/DCS and their feasibilities for routine utilization in hospital is finally discussed.
