DVT/PE PostersSESSION TYPE: Poster PresentationsPRESENTED ON: Saturday, March 22, 2014 at 01:15 PM - 02:15 PMPURPOSE: Thrombolytic therapy is used for acute pulmonary embolism complicated by shock or cardiopulmonary arrest. Its efficacy is limited by the lack of systemic perfusion required for lysis of the thrombus in the pulmonary vasculature. The only efficacious form of circulatory support may be temporary extracorporeal membrane oxygenator (ECMO) use with venous-arterial cannula. In the absence of ECMO support, prolonged chest compressions after thrombolysis may be required to support the circulation. ⋯ The following authors have nothing to disclose: Carla Nobre, Dinis Mesquita, Boban ThomasNo Product/Research Disclosure Information.

Bronchology Case Report PostersSESSION TYPE: Case Report PosterPRESENTED ON: Sunday, March 23, 2014 at 01:15 PM - 02:15 PMINTRODUCTION: Pulmonary hamartomas (PH) are a benign growth usually containing fat, cartilage and respiratory epithelium. They are the most common benign lung tumor with an incidence from 0.025% to 0.32% based on autopsy series studies. The vast majority of PH are located in the lung parenchyma. The largest case series consisting of 215 patients with PH reported only 3 endobronchial hamartomas (1.4%). We report an endobronchial hamartoma causing post-obstructive pneumonia and hemoptysis. ⋯ The following authors have nothing to disclose: Matthew Hammar, Jan Silverman, Yulin Liu, Susan Mucha, Mark LegaNo Product/Research Disclosure Information.
