Incidence of thyroid disorders in the second decade of adequate iodine supply in Slovenia.
The incidence of thyroid disorders importantly depends on iodine supply and may change over time. There are only a few data available regarding the change in the incidence of thyroid disorders following the increase in iodine supply. Therefore, the aim of this study was to establish the incidence of thyroid disorders in the second decade of adequate iodine supply in Slovenia. ⋯ In the second decade of adequate iodine supply in Slovenia, we established a similar or even a lower incidence of most thyroid diseases in the observed 4 years with the exception of Hashimoto's thyroiditis.

Review Meta AnalysisPrevalence of neuropathy in patients with type 2 diabetes in Iran : A systematic review and meta-analysis.
Diabetic neuropathy is one of the most common complications of diabetes, which leads to amputation and significant disability in patients. Studies conducted in this field show different prevalences and inconsistencies in the country. This study attempts to determine the overall prevalence of neuropathy in patients with type 2 diabetes in Iran with a meta-analysis. ⋯ Considering the high prevalence of neuropathy in patients with type 2 diabetes in the country, it is essential that health policy makers take effective measures to reduce this disease in diabetes patients.

ReviewEmergency department overcrowding : Analysis and strategies to manage an international phenomenon.
Overcrowding in emergency departments is a common and worldwide phenomenon, which is widely reported even in the lay press. Strategies to address this incriminating situation for patients, nurses, physicians and hospital administrators are urgently needed. The current review presents an analysis of the overcrowding problem as well as strategies to answer overcrowding situations.
