Case Reports[Heyde syndrome successfully treated with transcatheter aortic valve implantation to prevent recurrence of gastrointestinal bleeding from angiodysplasia].
While hospitalized due to severe aortic stenosis, an 84-year-old woman developed repeated bleeding from angiodysplasia in the stomach leading to a diagnosis of Heyde syndrome. Following transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI), there was no recurrence of bleeding from the angiodysplasia, and the decrease in von Willebrand factor levels that caused Heyde syndrome also improved. It was felt that the TAVI was able to prevent the recurrence of gastrointestinal bleeding due to angiodysplasia in Heyde syndrome.

Review Case ReportsTwo cases of acute gastric dilation after radiofrequency catheter ablation for supraventricular arrhythmia.
We describe our experience with two cases of acute gastric dilation after radiofrequency catheter ablation (RFCA) for supraventricular arrhythmia. After the RFCA procedure, patients experienced epigastric pain, abdominal distension, and vomiting. Computed tomography showed marked dilation of their stomachs, but without apparent obstruction of the gastric antrum or the duodenum. ⋯ Peristaltic stimulants effectively improved the patients' symptoms by improving gastric motility. There have been few reports of acute gastric dilation after RFCA in Japan to date, but the possibility of encountering this condition is expected to increase in parallel with the recent increased use of RFCA. Therefore, gastroenterologists should be alert to this rare complication.

Case ReportsA case of an unruptured hepatic aneurysm on the common hepatic artery at the junction of the gastroduodenal and proper hepatic arteries treated with transcatheter arterial embolization.
Hepatic aneurysms are rare, but can prove fatal once they rupture. Transcatheter arterial embolization (TAE) is performed as a prophylactic treatment. The position of the aneurysm determines the degree of difficulty of TAE. ⋯ TAE was performed with framing, followed by coil embolization. Blood flow to the liver was maintained via the gastroduodenal artery. Appropriate framing is important for safe and efficient TAE.

Case Reports[A case of a gastrointestinal stromal tumor of the rectum effectively treated with continuously-administered regorafenib after failure of imatinib and sunitinib].
Regorafenib is recommended as a third-line treatment for unresectable gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GIST). It is usually administered in a repeating cycle of three-weeks on and one-week off. ⋯ As a result, the adverse events were improved and the antitumor effect against the GIST was retained. The continuous administration of reduced-dose regorafenib could be considered a viable dosage adjustment in specific situations.

Review Case ReportsSlow progression of gastric adenocarcinoma of fundic gland type: a case report.
Here we report the case of a 73-year-old male who had undergone esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD) at a nearby hospital or at our hospital every year since 2006. In 2013, EGD results revealed a discolored lesion, measuring 6mm in diameter, on the anterior side of the upper body in the stomach. Helicobacter pylori (HP) was eradicated in 2010, and the background mucosa around the lesion was endoscopically diagnosed as non-atrophic. ⋯ In this case, slow tumor progression was observed. In 2015, no new lesions in the stomach or metastatic area were detected. Here we report a rare case of gastric adenocarcinoma of the fundic gland type that showed very slow progression.
