Interactive pedagogical tools could be helpful for medical education continuity during COVID-19 outbreak.
Training and education are essential for medical students. During the COVID-19 outbreak, numerous schools and universities have had to close. Ensuring pedagogical continuity requires alternatives to the traditional classroom, especially in medical education. ⋯ We briefly evaluated interactive pedagogic tool compared to traditionnal distancial tools on medical students. This study showed the importance to have direct contact with a teacher and feedback during a lecture and to not exclusively perform distance learning without direct interaction and feedback. Hence, in the present context, we encourage teacher to use this type of tools to maintain direct interaction with students - which is essential in pedagogy - and ensure a qualitative pedagogical continuity.

Case Reports[Starvation ketoacidosis during prolonged fasting of 26 days].
Ketosis is a metabolic situation involving an increase in blood and urine concentrations of ketones that, when prolonged, leads to acidosis. Moderate ketosis usually appears after a fast of a few hours, but its prolongation exposes to hyperketosis. Observation: A 25-year-old woman presented to the emergency department for cohercitive vomiting. ⋯ Evolution was favorable with intravenous hydration, poly-ionic and micronutrient supplementation and a gradual resumption of oral feeding. Conclusion: We report the case of a patient with fasting ketoacidosis. Besides consequences of this ketoacidosis, the challenge was also in resuming oral feeding in order to avoid a potentially fatal inappropriate renutrition syndrome.

Review[Medical devices industry: the problem of clinical evaluation reports].
In order to achieve regulatory compliance and acquire authorisation for sale in Europe, each medical device must be supported by a clinical evaluation report (CER) which documents the clinical evaluation process in its entirety. This is not a new requirement but highly publicised scandals caused by defective medical devices increased scrutiny of notified bodies (the organisations designated by the European Union to evaluate medical device compliance) meaning they are more liable and must strengthen their inspections of medical device manufacturers. ⋯ CERs are an important part of regulatory compliance and are also one of the biggest challenges for manufacturers who do not have sufficient resources and do not dedicate enough time to this task. This article examines the background of this requirement while offering medical device manufacturers advice for successful clinical evaluation reports.

ReviewMonoclonal gammopathy of undetermined significance (MGUS): interpretative shades of analysis and sometimes serious clinical consequences.
The etiological assessment of a monoclonal gammopathy is currently standardized, the decisional algorithms allowing a sufficiently precise classification to consider the care, wait or therapeutic. The purpose of this review is to recall the difficulties concerning the interpretation of certain biological investigations and to point out the potential complications of monoclonal gammopathies labeled as "benign". The cooperation between clinicians and biologists is in all cases essential, allowing to propose on a case-by-case basis the best adapted explorations.

The Waldmann's disease is a primitive intestinal lymphangectasia. This exsudative enteropathy initiates a protein leakage by the digestive tract. Clinically, this syndrome is characterised by oedemas and biologically by hypoprotidemia and loss of lymphocytes T CD4+, which increases a risk for infections. Here, we describe a patient's case for whom the protein loss was aggravated by a nephrotic syndrome.
