Randomized Controlled Trial Multicenter Study Comparative StudyComparison of high- and low-dose corticosteroid in subacromial injection for periarticular shoulder disorder: a randomized, triple-blind, placebo-controlled trial.
To determine whether subacromial injection with high-dose corticosteroid in patients with periarticular shoulder disorders is better than low-dose corticosteroid or placebo in improving pain, function, and active range of motion (AROM). ⋯ This was the first study to assess the efficacy of corticosteroid according to 2 different doses, which are the most widely used in subacromial injection for participants with periarticular shoulder disorders. This study showed no significant differences between the high- (triamcinolone acetonide, 40mg) and low-dose (20mg) corticosteroid groups, indicating preferred use of a low dose at the initial stage.

ReviewA systematic review of the effects of pilates method of exercise in healthy people.
To evaluate evidence for the effectiveness of the Pilates method of exercise (PME) in healthy people. ⋯ There was strong evidence to support the use of the PME at least to the end of training to improve flexibility and dynamic balance and moderate evidence to enhance muscular endurance. Future RCTs should focus on the components of blinding, concealed allocation, subject adherence, intention-to-treat analysis, and follow-up designs.

ReviewSelection for inpatient rehabilitation after acute stroke: a systematic review of the literature.
To identify patient-related factors that have been found to correlate with functional outcomes post acute stroke to guide clinical decision making with regard to rehabilitation admission after acute stroke. ⋯ This review highlights a number of important prognostic indicators and rehabilitation selection criteria that may assist clinicians in improving selection procedures and standardizing access to inpatient rehabilitation after stroke, although the quality of many studies is low. Further high quality studies and reviews of prognostic indicators and clinician decision making with regards to rehabilitation acceptance are required.
