Clinical TrialCombined Clinic-Home Approach for Upper Limb Robotic Therapy After Stroke: A Pilot Study.
To investigate the feasibility of a combined clinic-home intervention using a robotic elbow brace and, secondarily, to collect preliminary data on the efficacy of this clinic-home intervention. ⋯ This combined clinic-home intervention was feasible and effective. Participants demonstrated improvements in arm impairment and self-reported use of the arm from baseline to discharge; they continued to report significant improvement in actual use of the arm at 3-month follow-up.

Randomized Controlled Trial Comparative StudyUltrasound-Guided Hyaluronic Acid Injections for Trigger Finger: A Double-Blinded, Randomized Controlled Trial.
To investigate the effects of ultrasound-guided injections of hyaluronic acid (HA) versus steroid for trigger fingers in adults. ⋯ Ultrasound-guided injection of HA demonstrated promising results for the treatment of trigger fingers. The optimal frequency, dosage, and molecular weight of HA injections for trigger fingers deserve further investigation for future clinical applications.

ReviewPilates Method for Women's Health: Systematic Review of Randomized Controlled Trials.
To critically analyze the benefits of Pilates on health outcomes in women. ⋯ There is a paucity of evidence on Pilates for improving women's health during pregnancy or for conditions including breast cancer, obesity, or low back pain. Further high-quality RCTs are warranted to determine the effectiveness of Pilates for improving women's health outcomes.

Ten-Year Employment Patterns of Working Age Individuals After Moderate to Severe Traumatic Brain Injury: A National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research Traumatic Brain Injury Model Systems Study.
To describe the 10-year patterns of employment for individuals of working age discharged from a Traumatic Brain Injury Model Systems (TBIMS) center between 1989 and 2009. ⋯ These results highlight that postinjury employment after moderate to severe traumatic brain injury (TBI) is a dynamic process, with varied patterns of employment for individuals with specific characteristics. The overall decline in trajectories of probability of employment between 5 and 10 years postinjury suggests that moderate to severe TBI may have unfavorable chronic effects and that employment outcome is highly influenced by national labor market forces. Additional research targeting the underlying drivers of the decline between 5 and 10 years postinjury is recommended, as are interventions that target influencing factors.

Longitudinal Gliding of the Median Nerve in the Carpal Tunnel: Ultrasound Cadaveric Evaluation of Conventional and Novel Concepts of Nerve Mobilization.
To evaluate median nerve excursion during conventional nerve gliding exercises and newly developed exercises, primarily comprising abduction and adduction of the fingers. ⋯ Although conventional nerve gliding exercises only lead to minimal nerve excursions in the carpal tunnel, our novel exercises with the abduction and adduction of the fingers result in substantial longitudinal gliding throughout the arm. Clinical trials will have to deliver the clinical evidence.
