Late auditory and event-related potentials can be useful to predict good functional outcome after coma.
To investigate whether late auditory and event-related potentials, and in particular N100 and mismatch negativity, together with clinical parameters, can help to predict good functional outcome in comatose patients. ⋯ Late auditory and event-related potentials, and particularly N100 and mismatch negativity, provide strong prognostic factors for good functional outcome. Furthermore, these components may enhance the accuracy of prognosis when associated with other clinical parameters available at the early stage of coma.

Case ReportsMagnetic resonance neurography diagnosed brachial plexitis: a case report.
Idiopathic brachial plexitis is a rare disorder presenting with pain and weakness in the shoulder girdle and upper extremity. Idiopathic brachial plexitis can mimic other conditions that cause acute pain and weakness around the shoulder, and its diagnosis can be challenging. There is no special test for the diagnosis of idiopathic brachial plexitis, although electromyography may be useful. In this case of idiopathic brachial plexitis, we present magnetic resonance neurography findings for the first time.

Multicenter StudyEffectiveness of automated locomotor training in patients with chronic incomplete spinal cord injury: a multicenter trial.
To determine whether automated locomotor training with a driven-gait orthosis (DGO) can increase functional mobility in people with chronic, motor incomplete spinal cord injury (SCI). ⋯ Intensive locomotor training on a treadmill with the assistance of a DGO results in improved overground walking.

Multicenter StudyTest-retest reliability and internal consistency of the Quebec-French version of the Survey of Pain Attitudes.
To determine the test-retest reliability and internal consistency of the Quebec-French version of the Survey of Pain Attitudes (QAD/F-SOPA). ⋯ Globally, the QAD/F-SOPA has good reliability and validity properties and meets the prerequisites for use for clinical and research purposes. The disability subscale shows weaker properties; further studies would help determine how it could be improved.

Raised paraspinal muscle activity reduces rate of stature recovery after loaded exercise in individuals with chronic low back pain.
To further the understanding of stature recovery in subjects with and without chronic low back pain (CLBP) and to determine the relations among stature recovery, paraspinal muscle activity, and perceived pain and disability. ⋯ The elevated paraspinal muscle activity exhibited by the CLBP group increased compression on the intervertebral disks and diminished their ability to recover the height lost through loaded exercise. Further research is required to establish whether a change in paraspinal muscle activity is associated with corresponding changes in stature recovery, and if this has any clinical implications by reducing pain and disability.
