Sensitivity and Specificity of the Coma Recovery Scale--Revised Total Score in Detection of Conscious Awareness.
To describe the sensitivity and specificity of Coma Recovery Scale-Revised (CRS-R) total scores in detecting conscious awareness. ⋯ A total CRS-R score of 10 or higher provides strong evidence of conscious awareness but resulted in a false-negative diagnostic error in 22% of patients who demonstrated conscious awareness based on CRS-R diagnostic criteria. A cutoff score of 8 provides the best balance between sensitivity and specificity, accurately classifying 93% of cases. The optimal total score cutoff will vary depending on the user's objective.

Randomized Controlled TrialEffects of neck-specific exercises compared to waiting list for individuals with chronic whiplash associated disorders: a prospective randomized controlled study.
To determine whether 3 months of neck-specific exercises (NSEs) could benefit individuals with chronic whiplash-associated disorder (WAD) who were on a waiting list (WL) for treatment. ⋯ NSEs were more beneficial than no intervention while on a WL for individuals with chronic WAD.

Review Meta AnalysisPrevalence of Myofascial Trigger Points in Spinal Disorders: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis.
To retrieve, appraise, and synthesize the results of studies on the prevalence of active and latent myofascial trigger points (MTrPs) in subjects with spinal pain disorders. ⋯ The MTrPs point prevalence estimates in this review should be viewed with caution because future studies with large samples and high methodologic quality are likely to change them substantially.

Review Meta AnalysisIs Sex an Indicator of Prognosis After Mild Traumatic Brain Injury: A Systematic Analysis of the Findings of the World Health Organization Collaborating Centre Task Force on Mild Traumatic Brain Injury and the International Collaboration on Mild Traumatic Brain Injury Prognosis.
To determine sex differences in the recovery and prognosis after mild traumatic brain injury (MTBI) in adults and children. ⋯ Sex is not a well-studied prognostic indicator for recovery after MTBI, but small sex differences were found for some outcomes. More well-designed studies are needed that report outcomes according to sex and control for potential confounders.

Putting Physical Activity While Experiencing Low Back Pain in Context: Balancing the Risks and Benefits.
To analyze attitudes and beliefs about movement and physical activity in people with low back pain (LBP) and compare these beliefs between people with acute and chronic LBP. ⋯ Exploring the perceived risks, benefits, and contextual factors that influence decisions about physical activity and rest may help clinicians to understand the behavior of patients with acute and chronic LBP. Clinicians may best support their patients to engage in physical activity by providing an informed assessment of risks and an explanation about the range of potential benefits.
