ReviewMortality prediction models after radical cystectomy for bladder tumor: a systematic review and critical appraisal.
To identify risk-predictive models for bladder-specific cancer mortality in patients undergoing radical cystectomy and assess their clinical utility and risk of bias. ⋯ Using clinical predictors to assess the risk of bladder-specific cancer mortality is a feasibility alternative. However, the studies showed a high risk of bias and their applicability is uncertain. Studies should improve the conducting and reporting, and subsequent external validation studies should be developed.

Global Longitudinal Strain by CMR Improves Prognostic Stratification in Acute Myocarditis presenting with Normal LVEF.
Prognostic stratification of acute myocarditis (AM) presenting with normal left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) relies mostly on late gadolinium enhancement (LGE) characterization. Left ventricular peak global longitudinal strain (LV-GLS) measured by feature tracking analysis might improve prognostication of AM presenting with normal LVEF. ⋯ In AM presenting with LVEF ≥50%, LV-GLS provides independent prognostic value over LGE characterization, improving risk stratification and representing a rationale for further studies of therapy in this cohort.

Aortic valve calcification predicts poor outcomes after primary percutaneous coronary intervention.
Aortic valve calcification (AVC) is associated with increased cardiovascular risk in the general population. We sought to investigate whether AVC identified by transthoracic echocardiography could be a predictor of long-term adverse events after primary percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) in patients with acute myocardial infarction. ⋯ AVC identified by transthoracic echocardiography independently increased the long-term risk of MACCE after primary PCI in patients with acute myocardial infarction. This imaging feature will contribute to better risk stratification in this population.

Clinical utility and prognostic implications of the 4S-AF scheme: report from Asia Pacific Heart Rhythm Society Atrial Fibrillation Registry.
The 4S-AF classification scheme comprises of four domains (stroke risk [St], symptoms [Sy], severity of atrial fibrillation (AF) burden [Sb] and substrate [Su]), which has been recommended in the 2020 ESC guidelines to characterize and evaluate patients with AF. ⋯ Categorization according to the 4S-AF scheme can be related to the risk of the composite adverse event rate in Asian AF patients, and appropriate treatments based on the 4S-AF scheme resulted in better clinical outcomes. These observations support the characterization and management according to the 4S-AF scheme in Asian patients.

Positive Airway Pressure Therapy in Heart Failure Patients Comorbid with Obstructive Sleep Apnea: Cardiovascular Outcomes and Nighttime-duration Effect.
Comorbidity of obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) and heart failure (HF) is becoming increasingly common. This is a global analysis of positive airway pressure (PAP) efficacy for the cardiovascular outcomes in those HF Patients with comorbid OSA. ⋯ Positive airway pressure treatment improves cardiac function in HF patients with comorbid OSA, but the improved magnitude is associated with the duration of nighttime use rather than the duration of treatment.
