Multifocal cerebral hemorrhage refers to the cerebral hemorrhage in 2 or more lesions at the same time or 48 h in the brain caused by various causes, which has an acute onset, high mortality rate, and poor clinical treatment effect. Subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH) is caused by the direct flow of blood into the subarachnoid cavity due to the rupture of the diseased vessels at the base or surface of the brain. Cerebral venous sinus thrombosis (CVST) affects approximately 5 people per million and accounts for approximately 1% of all stroke events. CVST with both SAH and multifocal intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) as the first presentation is extremely rare. ⋯ The usual treatment for sinus thrombosis is anticoagulation or local thrombolysis. Systemic anticoagulation is the first-line treatment for CVST, even in patients with cerebral hemorrhage or SAH. The present patient's hemorrhage clearly contraindicated heparin; therefore, no anticoagulants or thrombolytic agents were administered during the 4-week hospitalization. We discuss issues for consideration in similar cases and provide an example of determining an individualized approach to treatment.

Calcifying fibrous tumors ("CFT") are recognized as extremely rare mesenchymal tumors with benign biological behavior and low rates of recurrence are seen after removal. The first case of a CFT was reported in 1988 as a possibly inflammatory triggered pseudotumor in deep soft tissue of children. Histologically, the tumor is typically composed of dense hyalinized collagen with paucicellular infiltration of lymphocytes and fibroblasts as well as psammomatous or dystrophic calcifications. It can affect soft tissue in very different anatomical locations, also intrathoracic and intra-abdominal, mimicking various different diagnoses. The etiology is understood to be unclear. Asymptomatic CFTs can be found incidentally on medical images. ⋯ We add another case of intra-abdominal CFT to medical literature to provide more information about this very seldom tumor. While the etiology of CFT should be further investigated, diagnosis and therapy seem clarified. CFT should be kept in mind as a rare differential diagnosis of calcifying tumors also in the abdominal cavity. Immunohistological work-up is important for finding the diagnosis and may also help solving pathogenetical questions.

A chronic sinus tract infection developing after suture anchoring of the ankle: A case report.
Suture anchors are increasingly used to fix soft tissue to bone. Favorable outcomes of the modified Brostrom operation (MBO) using suture anchors have been reported. However, to the best of our knowledge, few complications of suture anchors used in ankle surgery have been described. Here, we present a rare case of successful treatment of a chronic sinus tract infection developing after the MBO using a suture anchor. ⋯ To obtain wound healing, the chronic sinus tract must be removed. If the suture anchor is the cause of infection, it should be removed.

Crystal sorting histiocytosis (CSH) is a rare disorder that is morphologically characterized by the accumulation of monoclonal immunoglobulin crystals, predominantly of a kappa light chain type, within lysosomes of macrophages. CSH may result in a variety of clinical manifestations depending on the involved organs. In this case report, we aim to describe a patient with ophthalmic manifestations which lead to the diagnosis of multiple myeloma with crystal-storing histiocytosis, crystalline podocytopathy, and light chain proximal tubulopathy. ⋯ This report, highlighting the protean presentation of paraprotein-mediated injuries, provides additional information on the ocular anomalies not previously described that may be associated with crystal-storing histiocytosis.

The term cystic breast lesions is a sonographic diagnosis, which can be categorized as simple, complicated or complex. The complex cysts are deemed as having a low risk of breast cancer. The highly aggressive invasive ductal carcinomas among complex cysts, in particular, are infrequent reported. ⋯ Meticulous ultrasound evaluation of Breast Imaging Reporting and Data System (BI-RADS) category is crucial and indispensable when a complex cyst is found. The radiologist and clinician should be fully awake to its possibility of malignancy, especially fast-growing one in post-menopausal women. Excision biopsy may be preferred for diagnosis.
