The diagnostic role of miR-122 in drug-induced liver injury: A systematic review and meta-analysis.
Drug-induced liver injury (DILI) is a potentially severe adverse drug reaction especially in susceptible patients. But there are no sensitive or specific parameters to detecting DILI. The specific expression of miR-122 in the liver has been a hotspot in the evaluation of hepatic toxicity due to its high stability and sensitivity. ⋯ In this systematic review and meta-analysis, we found miR-122 have a high specificity in DILI, and a modest positive diagnostic effects. On the basis of the limited evidence, further research is needed to evaluate the long-term observation and more clinical data to testify miR-122 in diagnosing DILI.

The influence of high-dose intraoperative remifentanil on postoperative sore throat: a prospective randomized study: A CONSORT compliant article.
Endotracheal intubation for general anesthesia causes postoperative sore throat (POST). This study is designed to evaluate the effect of high-dose remifentanil on the incidence of POST in patients after general anesthesia. ⋯ A relatively large dose of intraoperative remifentanil increased the incidence of POST in patients for orthopedic surgery under general anesthesia.

The efficacy of cervical spine phantoms for improving resident proficiency in performing ultrasound-guided cervical medial branch block: A prospective, randomized, comparative study.
Few studies have been conducted on the utility of cervical spine phantoms for practicing cervical procedures. Here, we describe a simple method for creating a cervical spine phantom and investigate whether the use of a gelatin-based phantom is associated with improved proficiency in performing ultrasound-guided cervical medial branch block. ⋯ Training using a gelatin-based cervical spine phantom helps novices acquire the skills necessary to perform ultrasound-guided cervical medial branch blocks.

ED50 and ED95 of intrathecal hyperbaric ropivacaine for parturients undergoing cesarean section with prophylactic infusion of phenylephrine: A Prospective dose-finding Study.
Studies have reported that the ED50 of intrathecal ropivacaine was increased when using prophylactic infusion of phenylephrine to prevent spinal-induced hypotension. However, ED95 is more meaningful to clinical practice than ED50. Therefore, we conducted this study to determine the 95% effective dose (ED95) of intrathecal hyperbaric ropivacaine for cesarean section in parturients receiving prophylactic infusion of phenylephrine to prevent spinal-induced hypotension. ⋯ Under the conditions of the present study, the ED95 of intrathecal hyperbaric ropivacaine for successful spinal anesthesia for cesarean section in healthy parturient receiving prophylactic infusion of phenylephrine was 15.2 mg.

This systematic review protocol describes the methods that will be used to evaluate the efficacy and safety of mindfulness meditation and cognitive behavioral therapy programs as a psychological intervention for insomnia disorders. ⋯ Ethical approval will not be required because individual patient data are not included and because this protocol is for a systematic review. The findings of this systematic review will be disseminated through conference presentations.PROSPERO registration number: CRD42018111217.
