Successful treatment of malignant thymoma with sacrum metastases: A case report and review of literature.
Malignant thymoma in the spine is a rare disease without standard curative managements so far. The objective of this article is to report a very rare case of recurrent malignant thymoma with sacrum metastases causing severe lumbosacral pain, which was presented with acute radiculopathy and treated with 2 operations combined with stabilization and cement augmentation. The management of these unique cases is not well-documented. ⋯ This article emphasizes metastatic thymoma of the spine, although rare, should be part of the differential when the patient presents with back pain and radiculopathy. We recommend the posterior approach for spinal decompression of the metastatic thymoma when the tumor has caused neurological deficits. Osteoplasty by cement augmentation is also a good choice for surgical treatment.

The co-existence of allergic rhinitis (AR) and obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is a common phenomenon in clinical practice. AR has long been considered a risk factor for OSA. However, the relationship is not completely clear. Therefore, we conducted a meta-analysis to evaluate the prevalence of AR in sleep-disordered breathing (SDB) /OSA and their relationship. ⋯ The prevalence of AR in OSA/SDB is considerably high and children with SDB suffering from a higher incidence of AR than non-SDB. OSA adults accompanied with AR do not have any influences on sleep parameters.

Cisplatin-induced cardiotoxicity with midrange ejection fraction: A case report and review of the literature.
Cisplatin monotherapy-induced cardiotoxicity is rare, and the prevalence remains unknown. It's extremely important to stop cisplatin when cardiotoxicity is considered. ⋯ According to this case and literature review, cisplatin-induced cardiotoxicity should be considered for the patient. When necessary, we should discontinue the suspected drug to confirm diagnosis. Cardioprotective therapies would minimize the drug-induced cardiovascular adverse events and improve patients' outcome.

Meta Analysis
Is use of vitamin K antagonists associated with the risk of prostate cancer?: A meta-analysis.
Vitamin K antagonists (VKAs) may have potential antitumor effects in prostate cancer. However, the findings of observational studies are inconsistent. The purpose of the present study was to estimate the quantitative association between VKAs use and prostate cancer risk by combining the results of all eligible observational studies. ⋯ This meta-analysis indicates that VKAs use may be associated with a decreased risk of prostate cancer, especially in long-term users.
