Epileptiform EEG discharges and sevoflurane in children: Protocol of a systematic review and meta-analysis.
Epileptiform discharges in electroencephalogram (EEG) have been frequently reported in children undergoing sevoflurane mask induction. However, the incidence, characteristics and risk factors of these epileptiform patterns during sevoflurane anesthesia in children are poorly understood. The aim of this study is to systematically review the epileptic potential of sevoflurane in children with the EEG monitoring. ⋯ PROSPERO CRD 42019122008.

Pulmonary artery sling (PAS) is rare, often with tracheal stenosis. And the postoperative mortality is high. For now, there is no consensus on the tracheoplasty for the patients with PAS and tracheal stenosis. ⋯ CRD42019139788.

Prognostic and clinicopathological significance of kinesin family member C1 in various cancers: A meta-analysis.
Kinesin family member C1 (KIFC1), a C-type kinesin motor protein, plays important roles in centrosome assembly and intracellular transport. Numerous studies have focused on the prognostic value of KIFC1 in malignant tumors and the relationship between KIFC1 expression and clinicopathological traits of cancer patients, but the studies remain controversial. And no meta-analysis has yet shown the association between KIFC1 and various cancers. ⋯ KIFC1 overexpression indicates poor prognosis and more serious clinicopathological characteristics in kinds of malignancies. Thus, we conclude that KIFC1 could be a target for clinical diagnosis and treatment of various cancers.

Associations between miR-146a rs2910164 polymorphisms and risk of ischemic cardio-cerebrovascular diseases.
Many studies investigated the association between miR-146a rs2910164 polymorphisms and risk of ischemic cardio-cerebrovascular diseases. However, the results were inconsistent. ⋯ These results indicate that miR-146a rs2910164 polymorphisms were significantly associated with a lower risk of ischemic cardio-cerebrovascular. The miR-146a rs29101164 might be recommended as a predictor for susceptibility of ischemic cardio-cerebrovascular diseases.

Polymorphic variants conferring genetic risk to cervical lesions support GSTs as important associated loci.
To analyze the association between glutathione S-transferases polymorphisms and the risk of cervical lesions. Case-control studies focusing on the association between glutathione S-transferase polymorphisms and the risk of cervical lesions were collected from the PubMed, Web of Science, Cochrane Library, Embase, Medline, CNKI, VIP and Wanfang databases from inception to August 2018. Pooled odds ratios and 95% confidence intervals were employed to evaluate the strength of the association. ⋯ The GSTT1 null genotype was also related to high-grade intraepithelial neoplasia (HSIL) and cervical cancer risk (OR = 1.30 and OR = 1.78, respectively, P < .05). The GSTM1 null variant caused cervical lesions, especially among HPV infection cases and among the Chinese and Indian populations. The GSTT1 null variant increased the risk of cervical lesions in smokers and was also related to HISL and cervical cancer risk.
