The aim of this study was to systematically evaluate the prognostic role of microvessel density (MVD) in patients with glioma through performing a meta-analysis. ⋯ Our results suggested that higher MVD was associated with worse OS in patients with glioma. The findings may assist future research on antiangiogenic therapy and help predict prognosis in glioma. However, due to the limited number of studies, more well-designed studies are warranted to further verify our results.

Multicenter Study Observational Study
Prevalence of cervical cancer and pre-cancerous lesions among unscreened Women in Kumasi, Ghana.
Ghana does not have a universal population-based cervical cancer screening program and there is very limited information about the distribution of cervical epithelial cell lesions. This study provides evidence that a moderately high prevalence of cervical cancer and precancerous lesions exists among unscreened women in Kumasi. The prevalence of cervical epithelial cell abnormalities among a cross-section of women attending cervical cancer screening for the first time in a suburb of Ghana from 2011 to 2014 was studied. ⋯ Additionally, 3 women (0.5%) had squamous cell carcinoma, giving an overall rate of 3.7% for epithelial cell abnormalities. Cervical cancer and precursor epithelial cell abnormalities are common among women in Kumasi for a disease that can be prevented by early detection through routine screening and management. This study provides adequate background data to recommend the implementation of cervical cancer screening in all eligible women in Ghana.

Randomized Controlled Trial
Late adverse effects related to treatment in a cohort of survivors of childhood and adolescent cancer.
Taking into consideration the progress in cancer treatment, an increase in the number of adult survivors of childhood cancer is expected. These survivors will have received treatment that predisposes them to late morbidity and increased risk of early mortality. The aim of this single-center retrospective cohort study was to describe the frequency and identify risk factors associated with late adverse events related to cancer treatment in survivors of childhood and adolescent cancer. ⋯ Odds ratio was used as a measure of association in bivariate analysis to identify characteristics associated with the late effects of treatment. Among 111 potentially eligible participants, 62 survivors met the inclusion criteria; 17 (27.4%) had abnormal test results observed in the systems: 8 (47%) in the endocrine and metabolic, 7 (41.2%) in the cardiovascular, 5 (29.4%) in the musculoskeletal, and 1 (5.9%) in auditory and renal systems. Frequency and severity of late adverse events were not affected by treatments employed; except for radiotherapy which was associated with a higher risk of late adverse effect occurrences.

Comparative Study
Comparison of the psychometric properties of the EQ-5D-3L and SF-6D in the general population of Chengdu city in China.
The EQ-5D-3L and SF-6D are the most commonly used economic evaluation instruments. Data comparing the psychometric properties of the instruments are scarce in the Chinese population. This study compared the psychometric properties of these measures in the Chinese general population in Chengdu. ⋯ Both the EQ-5D-3L and SF-6D are valid economic evaluation instruments in the Chinese general population in Chengdu but do not seem to be interchangeable. The EQ-5D-3L has a higher ceiling effect and higher level of discriminant validity among different sociodemographic groups, and the SF-6D has a lower ceiling effect and higher level of discriminant validity in health condition groups. Users may consider the evidence in the choice of these instruments.
