Observational Study
Middle cerebral artery stenosis is associated with the increased risk of intracerebral hemorrhage in Chinese: A retrospective study.
Intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) is a major cause of morbidity and mortality throughout the world. It is reported that the incidence of deep ICH and intracranial artery stenosis (ICAS) are higher in Asian countries. Thus, there are concerns regarding a potential relationship between ICAS and ICH. ⋯ The moderate MCA stenosis was associated with the increased risk of ICH (OR = 9.899) and was not associated with acute IS in the LLA territory. The increased perfusion pressure to the LLA may be the cause. In conclusion, MCA stenosis, especially moderate MCA stenosis, is associated with ICH in the LLA territory in Chinese.

Case Reports
A novel AVPR2 missense mutation in an Asian family with inherited nephrogenic diabetes insipidus: A case report.
X-linked nephrogenic diabetes insipidus (NDI) is a rare inherited disease, and is characterized by renal resistance to arginine vasopressin (AVP). Its diagnosis can be clinically challenging. The application of molecular genetic analysis can provide a rapid and definitive diagnosis. ⋯ The patients with suspected congenital NDI should undergo genetic sequencing analysis of AVPR2, AVP and AQP2 genes. A definitive diagnosis can benefit patient and avoid unnecessary investigations.

To investigate the association between polymorphism in the gene encoding the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) and susceptibility to endometriosis among women in southwest China. ⋯ Genotypes with a T nucleotide at rs11977660 may significantly increase risk of endometriosis in Chinese.

Childhood obesity has been shown to be closely related to future obesity and comorbidities. As its prevalence and impact has increased significantly worldwide, researchers have focused on prevention and intervention. This study assessed a multifaceted intervention for elementary school children. ⋯ Students with higher zBMI had a greater reduction in all anthropometrics; students with lower zBMI showed greater PF improvement, except for the 800-m run. The intervention improved weight measures, body composition, and PF. Subgroup differences suggested the need for sex- and weight-specific interventions.

Meta Analysis
Acupuncture for primary osteoporosis: A network meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials protocol.
A large number of randomized controlled trials (RCTs) have shown that acupuncture (ACU) has certain advantages over pharmacotherapies in the treatment of primary osteoporosis (POP). However, due to the diversity of ACU treatments, its relative effectiveness have not yet been studied and explained. Therefore, based on the network meta-analysis (NMA), this study will compare the differences in the efficacy of multiacupuncture in the treatment of POP, to provide a reference for clinical treatment. ⋯ PROSPERO (registration number CRD42019122724).
