Traditional Chinese medicine on treating premature ejaculation: A systematic review and meta-analysis.
Premature ejaculation is a form of male sexual dysfunction. As people's lifestyle changes and the population ages, the incidence of premature ejaculation continues to increase. Many clinical trials have proven that Chinese medicine has a significant effect in the treatment of premature ejaculation. In this systematic review, we aim to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of Traditional Chinese medicine for premature ejaculation. ⋯ This systematic review will evaluate the efficacy and safety of Traditional Chinese medicine for treating premature ejaculation. Because all of the data used in this systematic review and meta-analysis has been published, this review does not require ethical approval. Furthermore, all data will be analyzed anonymously during the review process Trial.

Long non-coding RNA antisense non-coding RNA in the INK4 locus expression correlates with increased disease risk, severity, and inflammation of allergic rhinitis.
The aim of the current study was to investigate the expression of long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) antisense non-coding RNA in the INK4 locus (ANRIL) in allergic rhinitis (AR) patients, and to further explore the association of lncRNA ANRIL expression with AR risk, severity, and inflammation. In this case-control study, 96 AR patients and 96 non-atopic obstructive snoring patients who underwent adenoid surgery were consecutively recruited. Disease severity of AR patients was assessed via individual nasal symptom score (INSS) and total nasal symptom score (TNSS). ⋯ Besides, lncRNA ANRIL was also positively correlated with TNSS, tumor necrosis factor α, interleukin (IL)-4, IL-6, IL-13, and IL-17, while negatively associated with IL-10 and interferon-γ. And no association of lncRNA ANRIL expression with IL-1β, IL-5, or IL-8 expression was discovered. LncRNA ANRIL expression correlates with increased AR risk, severity, and inflammation, implying that lncRNA ANRIL might be involved in the pathogenesis of AR.

Chinese Patent medicine to treat a 32-year-old man with sinus bradycardia and cardiac sinus arrests: A case report.
Sinus bradycardia refers to a sinus heart rate <60 bpm. Cardiac sinus arrests refer to the omission of atrial activation caused by transient cessation of impulse generation at the sinoatrial node. Normally, drugs such as atropine, isoproterenol, dopamine, dobutamine, or epinephrine can be used for the acute treatment of bradycardia. Temporary pacing is used for treating severe symptomatic bradycardia due to a reversible cause. Permanent cardiac pacing is used for chronic therapy of bradycardia. However, for traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), benefiting qi and nourishing yin and activating blood circulation is the general principle in treatment and show remarkable curative effects. ⋯ This case report shows that TCM can be an effective alternative therapy for sinus bradycardia and cardiac sinus arrests. CPM may have been a successful intervention in arrhythmias.

Intradialytic resistance training (IRT) protects patients' muscle mass and functions against protein-energy wasting, malnutrition and cachexia. However, the evidence of the effects of such an intervention in haemodialysis patients is limited and not conclusive. To improve the applicability of such interventions, we need a better understanding of molecular, functional and psycho-social adaptation in dialysed patients following a physical training. Therefore, the aim of this study is to investigate the effects of IRT on lower extremity muscle functions, quality of life, and anxiety and depression, clinical outcomes and circulatory micro-ribonucleic acid (miRNA) profiles in patients on chronic haemodialysis therapy. ⋯ This quasi-experimental study can add in an important way to our understanding of the effects of resistance training on dialysis patients' muscle strength, quality of life and disease-specific outcomes.

Effect of forced-air warming system in prevention of postoperative hypothermia in elderly patients: A Prospective controlled trial.
Postoperative hypothermia in elderly patients is a well-known serious complication as it impairs wound healing, induces coagulopathy, increases the risk of blood loss, enhances oxygen consumption, and precipitates cardiac arrhythmias. We conducted this randomized controlled trial to evaluate the effect of a forced-air warming system on rewarming elderly patients undergoing total knee or hip arthroplasty. ⋯ The use of a forced-air warming system set at 42°C was shown to be the most effective way of rewarming elderly patients with postoperative hypothermia.
