Shengyang Yiwei Decoction for the treatment of chronic gastritis: A protocol for a systematic review and meta-analysis.
Chronic gastritis is a very common chronic gastric mucosal inflammatory disease in China. Long-term chronic inflammation will aggravate the disease and develop towards gastric cancer. Clinically, infection with Helicobacter pylori (H pylori) is a common cause. The application of antibiotics to eradicate H pylori has been reported to have produced drug resistance. However, the application of Shengyang Yiwei Decoction(SYD) in traditional Chinese medicine has resulted in significant clinical effects and small side effects. It is used for the treatment of chronic gastritis and other diseases, but there is a lack of systematic reviews on the treatment of chronic gastritis by SYD. This article reviews the efficacy and safety of SYD in the treatment of chronic gastritis. ⋯ DOI 10.17605/OSF.IO/AZKUQ.

Prostate cancer: a risk factor for COVID-19 in males?: A protocol for systematic review and meta analysis.
COVID-19 is now a global pandemic. Although there are very few studies describing the characteristics of SARS-CoV-2 infections in patients with prostate cancer, these patients are likely to be more susceptible to COVID-19 than healthy people because of their immunosuppressed state. However, there is no evidence that prostate cancer is a risk factor for COVID-19. ⋯ Ethics approval is not required for this systematic review as it will involve the collection and analysis of secondary data. The results of the review will be reported in international peer-reviewed journals PRORPERO REGISTRATION NUMBER:: CRD42020194071.

Efficacy of a single injection compared with triple injections using a costoclavicular approach for infraclavicular brachial plexus block during forearm and hand surgery: A randomized controlled trial.
It was recently proposed that a costoclavicular (CC) approach can be used in ultrasound (US)-guided infraclavicular brachial plexus block (BPB). In this study, we hypothesized that triple injections in each of the 3 cords in the CC space would result in a greater spread in the 4 major terminal nerves of the brachial plexus than a single injection in the CC space without increasing the local anesthetic (LA) volume. ⋯ The TI of CC approach increased the consistency of US-guided infraclavicular BPB in terms of the rate of blocking all 4 nerves without increasing the procedure time despite administering the same volume of the LA.

The efficacy of gefitinib supplementation for breast cancer: A meta-analysis of randomized controlled studies.
The efficacy of gefitinib supplementation for breast cancer remains controversial. We conduct a systematic review and meta-analysis to explore the influence of gefitinib supplementation vs placebo on the efficacy of breast cancer. ⋯ Gefitinib supplementation may provide no positive effect on complete response, progressive disease, partial response or stable disease for breast cancer patients, but with the increase in adverse events.

Comparison between anteroposterior and oblique "Scotty dog" approach during S1 transforaminal epidural steroid injection: A randomized controlled trial.
Traditionally, S1 transforaminal epidural steroid injection (TFESI) has been performed using an anteroposterior (AP) fluoroscopic view. In 2007, the oblique "Scotty dog" (OS) approach was introduced as an alternative technique. We compared passage time of the needle into S1 foramen (Tf) between the anteroposterior (AP) and oblique "Scotty dog" (OS) approach during S1 TFESI. ⋯ The passage time of the needle into S1 foramen was shorter in OS approach and the OS approach reduced the procedure time compared with the AP approach during S1 TFESI. The practitioners should note that procedure time can be prolonged in obese patients.
